WHAT A MONTH What a month March turned out to be, Sunshine, Rain, Snow, Sleet, Hail, High Winds and that was in the same day, so we were never sure of where to go or what to see, some days the mystery drive turned out to be 3 left turns and back to the home yet on others we managed Dartmoor, Totnes, Dawlish and Exeter but what ever the weather or who ever was experiencing the trip great fun and laughter was in order, the beautiful views from this area are a joy to behold and you can never get fed up with the scenery. Due to the inclement weather most of March was postponed |

BRIGHTEN THE PLACE The home has been very busy during March as the re-decoration programme is in full swing, with so many people around it does not take long before things get a bit jaded and tired looking so The Lounge, Dinning Room, Staff Room and Laundry room have all been decorated including special carpet in the lounge, dinning room and staff room. The hall, corridor and stairs have all been touched up and they are also down for new carpeting. It has also been decided that the sun lounge could also do with some work so this will commence early April. |

ANOTHER REPLACEMENT As reported in last month's issue we employed a new member of staff, what a let down she did not start and then out of the blue we had a call from someone looking for a job, never done this type of work before but was interested, she attended the interview and seem positive and eager so Jade started doing a couple of evening and weekends to get used to us. learn more about Jade in Meet the staff when it returns. |

MISSED OPPORTUNITY We try and never let an opportunity pass us but this time it has, everyone is aware of our expertises in fund raising for charity as with the Cancer Research and the more recently The Downs Syndrome Association but this time we missed out. Our wonderful enthusiastic manager has started a diet and we have all said we shall encourage him, he seems to be very positive as he has join a gym and in the first few weeks he has already lost 1st, we could have got sponsorship just think people who know him will know of his will power and would have thought he would not do it but he will this time we are all sure. |

A LITTLE VISIT Several years ago a young lady came to do her Duke of Edinburgh bronze award with us and after she finished she kept in touch and it was a great surprise on one of her visits that we thought she had been over eating but 9 moths later she arrived with a beautiful baby boy, everyone wanted a cuddle, some were a bit worried about this little thing but a short visit turned out to be a couple of hours. As the pictures shows he was enjoyed by everyone
our pictures show that Eric, Heather, Dena, Courtenay, Beth, Stuart and Joyce enjoyed the experience and of course the staff had to get in on the act too
